ZANU PF Women’s League has congratulated His Excellency, President Emmerson Dambudzo Mnangagwa on his assumption of the SADC Chairmanship.

This was done during the third National Executive meeting held in at the Party headquarters this Friday.

Speaking during the meeting, the Secretary for Women’s League, Cde Mabel Chinomona said President Mnangagwa's assumption to that role shows his capabilities.

"We want to say Congratulations to our First Secretary and President, His Excellency Cde Emmerson Dambudzo Mnangagwa for assuming the SADC Chairmanship. We as women want to assure him that we are here to support him," Cde Chinomona said.

"Zimbabwe's hosting of the 44th SADC Summit revealed the truth about the country and the development currently going on. The naysayers were proven as liars because of the fake stories that they peddle about Zimbabwe.

"The Second Republic under the able leadership of our President is indeed doing a lot to develop Zimbabwe."

She commended the President for continually appointing women in key decision making positions.

The Secretary also took time to encourage women to unite the populace and work hard to ensure that people's lives are uplifted.

The National Executive meeting meets ahead of this year's National People’s Conference scheduled for the end of October.
