CHRISTIANS ADOPT ONLINE PRAYER STRATEGY

Christians have adopted to pray online as the country entered Day 7 of the 21 days of lockdown. Some churches last week announced that a three weeks break away from the church buildings would characterise worship. President and First Secretary of ZANU PF Cde Emmerson Mnangagwa this week urged church leaders to encourage their members to worship at home and avoid going out during this time. Various church leaders among them Father Mukonori highlighted that various churches had indeed adhered to the call by President Mnangagwa. Various online prayer channels were seen among the Winners Chapel International or Living Faith Church. Many believe that this is an opportunity for the church to adopt to technology by taking advantage of the online space. Others however feel that this should have been the time for the church to demonstrate faith in God by praying and declaring victory over the Corona virus COVID19.
