Matabeleland South Minister of State for Devolution and Provincial Affairs Cde Albert Nguluvhe continued with the Chicken Empowerment Program in Chipise, Ward 1.

The distribution of 175 road-runner chickens was to local youth, women, war veterans, and widows. 

The initiative operates as a pass-on scheme, designed to promote sustainable community development and shared economic benefit.

Significant progress has been recorded at Lutumba Primary School, which received 30 chicks in 2023. The school has since managed to purchase two goats using proceeds from the sale of some of the chickens, demonstrating effective management of the project and positive impact on livelihood initiatives.

The program will continue to support community groups and institutions as part of broader efforts to enhance economic resilience within the constituency.
