ZANU PF First Secretary and President, His Excellency Cde Emmerson Dambudzo Mnangagwa has challenged the Women’s League to implement strategies that attract more women into the Party.
Speaking during the first National Assembly held at the Party this Friday, President Mnangagwa said a lot of women are eager to join the revolutionary Party.
"You must, therefore, use this gathering, to strengthen, build up and grow the Women’s League, especially at the grassroots level, where the membership must be kept well organized," President Mnangagwa said.
"I challenge you to have relevant mobilisation strategies to attract more women to join the Party and the Women’s League. Reports must be submitted on a yearly basis, on exact figures, indicating the growth and categories by sector, from which the women are drawn.
"Pandinofamba ndinonvunzwa nemadzimai ane shungu dzekuva nhengo dzemusangano kuti zvinofamba sei. More women including the younger women, long to join the Party. ZANU PF ihomwe inokwana munhu wose."
The National Assembly was held under the theme, "Breaking Barriers, Building Futures: Women’s Journey Towards Vision 2030."
